We are currently seeking a Forming Process Specialist to join our team at our facility in Lapel, IN.
This position is responsible for performing technical duties and developing techniques to correct low efficiency jobs and to correct hot end operating defects. Has broad responsibility of improving overall production efficiencies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
(All other duties as assigned)
Provides technical assistance on a diverse range of operating problems to Sr. Production Manager, Machine and Mold Repair Supervisor, Shift Leaders and machine operators and other production personnel.
Investigates low efficiency jobs to determine cause of poor performance.
Analyzes blank and mold design, operating temperatures, machine set up, bottle handling equipment, lehr operations, etc. and makes appropriate recommendations.
Check jobs on line daily for quality, appearance, defects and equipment operation.
Makes inspections of forehearth, feeders, hot end bottle equipment, etc.
Makes or directs making of necessary adjustments.
Concentrates efforts on machines with poorest quality and production although attempts to maintain all equipment within good working range.
Works closely with mold and machine repairs, quality, batch and furnace in recommending changes in bottle design, redesign of equipment, etc.
Gives technical advice and assistance on job changes.
Spot checks mold equipment on major accounts before equipment is in full production.
Reviews all new incoming job files and specifications and histories.
Makes recommendations to interested department heads.
Assists with training of new hot end employees.
Monitor, analyze and identify deficiencies in forming performance and work with the relevant Line Managers to take remedial action to ensure plant efficiencies and budget are maintained. Facilitate Forming trials for job improvement.
Plan and present future requirements including training, to ensure the Plant keeps abreast of current trends in technology and processes to ensure an efficient operation.
Accountable for the safety of personnel within the plant
Ensures correct use of safety equipment and that company safety policies are followed
Investigates all accidents or safety incidents within the plant, ensuring proper root cause analysis to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
To provide technical Forming process support for the FMU Leaders (Line Managers) in order to produce quality glass containers and coordinate the running of machine trials and improvements in machine standards and performance. A particular emphasis of this role is to provide technical trouble shooting expertise and assistance to the Manufacturing Development Manager as well as the development of bottle making skills in the Plant.
Position Requirements
High School diploma minimum
Associates Degree in Engineering or Business preferred, or 5
years related experience.
An understanding of mold repair and machine repair technology and their relationship to Forming function.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Manufacturing Development Manager.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
There may be some travel associated with this position for training and/or project work.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
